My question is, if it's a marriage contract, wouldn't he have presented it to her at the time of their marriage? And, after receiving it, why did she still marry him?!

Hey, give him a little credit, at least he was upfront about his preferences... LOL He could have kept her in the dark and then punished her for disobedience.
She dated him beforehand, right? There had to be signs of this proclivity...
